There are a total of 12 animal signs in the Chinese zodiac, which is based on five cycles of 12 years each, with each cycle tempered by one of the five Chinese elements of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. 2022 is the Year of the Water Tiger; 1962 being another of such year within the century. According to popular belief, those born in the Year of the Tiger are known to be brave, competitive, confident yet unpredictable. This stamp issue is part of Singapore Post's zodiac stamp series that began in 2022 with the Rat, featuring the independent, dynamic and confident Tiger ushering in the Lunar Year 2022.
For the zodiac series, due to the continuity of the design across the 12 years, just like previous year, it's worth to also include the presentation pack in my collection.
