This stamp issue features an impression of 19th Century Singapore as captured in four beautiful lithographs in the Singapore National Museum's permanent collection. The four original paintings were executed by members of scientific expeditions. A reproduction from these lithographs, the stamps beautifully feature the Singapore River, 1839 (15c), Singapore Chinatown, 1837 (30c), Singapore Waterfront, 1837 (75c), as well as the View from Fort Canning, 1824 (S$1.00). Another issue that I really love – the stamps are beautiful!
