This stamp issue in 2022 features a second set of five of Singapore's favourite mascots; the first set of Singapore mascots stamps was launched in Aug 2020 (click here to view). This new set features Merli, a heart-warming and whimsical character of the Singapore Tourism Board; Smiley, the savvy POSB squirrel who has taught generations of children to save up; Water Sally, the well-travelled water sustainability advocate from national water agency PUB; the Singapore Red Cross' Blood Buddy, who encourages blood donors along their blood donation journey; as well as Teamy the Bee, the mascot for Singapore's national productivity movement in the 1980s and 1990s (both are now retired).
