The historic Bukit Timah Railway Station was reopened on 1 Jul 2022, following the completion of restoration and enhancement works to the station, along with the original platform and tracks, 11 years after the railway land was returned to Singapore. The land, once occupied by the KTM Railway, has been transformed into the Rail Corridor, a seamless green community space that provides a respite for people. To coincide with the reopening, this stamp issue features recognisable sights along the 24 km-long Rail Corridor, along with the flora and fauna one may find along the nature track. The iconic structures illustrated on the stamps are the Bukit Timah Truss Bridge (1st Local), Bukit Timah Railway Station (2nd Local), 9 Mile Platform (70c), Railway Staff Quarters (90c) as well as the Quarry Bridge (S$1.50).
