2022 marks the 50th anniversary of Singapore and Bangladesh's diplomatic relations. Over the years, the bilateral relations of both countries have continued to grow in strength and prosper in a meaningful manner. Singapore Post, together with the Postal Department of Bangladesh Government, jointly released a stamp issue to commemorate this milestone of both nations. This joint stamp issue features two songbirds – the Zebra Dove (left stamp) and the Oriental Magpie-Robin (right stamp), both native to the Southeast Asia and South Asia regions respectively. The Zebra Dove, also known as the Barred Dove, are small and slender birds with a long, narrow tail. The Oriental Magpie-Robin, widely considered as the national bird of Bangladesh, is a small passerine bird with a distinct black and white coat. Both stamp designs are jointly issued, with the stamps issued by Postal Department of Bangladesh Government are both at a denomination of 50 ৳.
