Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) or Sultan Idris Education University is a Public Institution of Higher Education (IPTA) which plays an important part in the history of education in Malaysia. First established in 1922 as a teachers' college, it is one of the oldest functioning institutions of higher learning in Malaysia. In conjunction with UPSI’s 100th anniversary in 2022, Pos Malaysia issued this stamp to celebrate the milestone. The single stamp in this issue features the iconic Bangunan Suluh Budiman, the main building of UPSI, which was built in Aug 1919 and fully completed in Jun 1922. The design of this building was based on medieval Gothic Dutch architecture.
