Singapore is a nation of multi-racial communities. The need for a coordinated nationwide community development programme for its people gave rise to the birth of the People's Association on 1 Jul 1960, with the aim to promote social, cultural, educational, sports and recreational activities for an increasing range of interests. Celebrating the People's Association 25th anniversary in 1985, this set of stamps traces the important phases of the association's response to the changing pulse and needs of Singapore social integration process through the years.
