1990 marks the 150th year of the first stamp ever printed. Commemorating this milestone, this stamp issue features stamps and covers of significant meaning to the postage stamps in Great Britain, the Straits Settlements and Singapore – the six stamps from the "150th Anniversary of Founding of Singapore" issue released in 1969 (50c); stamps issued in 1855 and 1856, shipped from India (75c); first set of stamps used in Singapore (S$1.00); as well as the Penny Black and the Two Pence Blue, the first ever printed stamps issued in Great Britain (S$2.00).
