His Majesty, Tuanku Ja'afar Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman was the tenth Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia from 26 Apr 1994 to 25 Apr 1999. His Majesty received his early education at the Sekolah Melayu Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah and subsequently at the Malay College, Kuala Kangsar. His Majesty then continued his education at the Raffles College, Singapore. His Majesty also graduated with a Degree in Law from the University of Nottingham in England, thereafter, continued his studies at Oxford University (Ballio College) in the field of Economics. On his return to Malaya in 1952, His Majesty served in various capacities in the Public Service. His career in the Diplomatic Service began in 1957 when His Majesty attended a one-year Diplomatic Service Course in London. As the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, His Majesty played a significant role in fostering ties between Malaysia and other countries.  Commemorating the installation of His Majesty as the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, this stamp issue by Pos Malaysia features portrait of His Majesty Tuanku Ja'afar in all three stamps in the issue.
