Malaysia, located in the Indo-West Pacific Basin, is well-endowed with a plethora of luxuriant coral reefs which teem with a diverse variety of marine life. One of these is the opulently flamboyant nudibranchs. Nudibranchs, contrary to their common name "sea-slugs", are brilliantly coloured and attractive, ranging from minute forms to large ones weighing more than a kilogramme. Their shapes and forms are often bizarre. This first series stamp issue on marine life by Pos Malaysia features five of these beautiful nudibranchs. The five 20 sen stamps, printed in a continuous strip, feature the Glossodoris atromarginata, Phyllidia ocellata, Chromodoris annae, Flabellina macassarana and Fryeria ruppelli.
