In conjunction with World Post Day 1997, this joint stamp issue between Thailand Post and Singapore Post aims to promote philatelic activities in the international. The four stamps in this issue feature seashells found in both countries – the Purple Drupe (2 baht, Singapore No Value Indicator), Chameleon Nerite (2 baht, 35c), Widow Periwinkle (9 baht, 50c) and the Elegant Marginella (9 baht, S$1.00). Although all four stamps are jointly issued, there are slight variations in terms of colours and shades of the stamps issued by both countries.
