Cultures the world over have depended on stars to mark the seasons and for navigation. In joining the dots between sun, stars, planets and earth and invoking their supposed powers, astrology was shaped. The science of astronomy followed, blazing with technological advances that have heightened human's understanding and imagination. Horoscopes – the term derived from Greek words for time and observer – were the star charts drawn up thousands of years ago to depict the concept of celestial influence. This stamp issue by Singapore Post on horoscopes consists of a few instalments, with the first instalment above featuring four horoscopes sign, namely Aries (1st Local), Taurus (80c), Gemini (90c) and Cancer (S$1.50).
