Since the launch of Malaysia's first car, Proton, in 1985, the Malaysia motor industry has since developed by leaps and bounds. Through advancement in technology, design and initiative, Malaysia has since produced the Tiara, Kancil, Kembara, Rusa, Satria, just to name a few. Celebrating the country's automotive industry, this second series on Malaysia made vehicles stamp issue features the various models of cars proudly produced by Malaysia automobile companies, Proton Holdings, Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) and Inokom Corporation Sdn Bhd. The first cover features the earlier models launched during the 90s – Perodua Kancil, Proton Tiara, Perodua Rusa, Proton Putra and Inokom Permas. The second cover, meanwhile, features models launched subsequently – Perodua Kembara, Proton GTi, TD 2000, Perodua Kenari and Proton Waja.
