Studies show that owning a pet reduces depression and loneliness symptoms, and increases happiness and joy, providing emotional support during difficult times. Highlighting the special bond between humans and their pets, and the delight as well as joy these pets bring, this stamp issue by Pos Malaysia showcases the diversity of pets cherished in Malaysia. The regular stamps in this issue feature three beloved pets – the Betta Fish, known for its vibrant colours and flowing fins (30 sen); cats, known to be affectionate and independent (50 sen); as well as the the cheerful Budgerigars, a bird with colorful feathers and lively personalities (RM1.30).
