There are a total of 12 animal signs in the Chinese zodiac, which is based on five cycles of 12 years each, with each cycle tempered by one of the five Chinese elements of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. 2023 is the Year of the Water Rabbit; the first of such in the 21st century. The previous Year of the Water Rabbit was in 1963 which falls in the 20th century. People born in the Year of the Water Rabbit are said to be friendly, easy to adapt, and gentle. This stamp issue is part of Singapore Post's zodiac stamp series that began in 2022 with the Rat, featuring the warm, responsible and patient Rabbit ushering in the Lunar Year 2023.
For the zodiac series, due to the continuity of the design across the 12 years, just like previous year, it's worth to also include the presentation pack in my collection.
