This stamp issue by Singapore Post on national monuments showcases five iconic Singaporean buildings, which are an important part of Singapore's history and architectural heritage.
1st Local – Former Parliament House and Annex Building, a striking Neo-Palladian structure along the Singapore River, once served as the nation's parliamentary seat until 1999 and now houses The Arts House, a vibrant cultural space.
2nd Local – Former Supreme Court, a grand Neoclassical building adorned with imposing Corinthian columns, once housed the nation's highest court and now forms part of the National Gallery Singapore, showcasing Southeast Asian art.
80c – National Museum of Singapore, which was established in 1887, is the nation's oldest museum. It is housed in a stunning Neo-Palladian building with a grand dome and intricate architectural details.
90c – Former Hill Street Police Station was once the largest police building in Malaya. It now stands as a striking landmark with its colourful windows and houses the Ministry of Communications and Information and the National Arts Council.
S$1.50 – The Central Fire Station, built in 1909 in Edwardian style, is the nation's oldest fire station. Now serving as a heritage landmark and home to the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery which showcases Singapore's firefighting history.
