Give us brotherhood, not solely for this day but for all our years – a brotherhood, not of words but of acts and deeds. So wrote the American poet, Stephen Vincent Benet and perhaps his words personify the brotherhood that exists among Rotarians across the globe.

Commemorating the 75th anniversary of Rotary International and the 50th anniversary of Rotary in Zimbabwe, this stamp issue by the Posts and Telecommunications Corporation of Zimbabwe celebrates Rotary’s contributions to community service, humanitarian efforts, and global goodwill. Paying tribute to Rotary’s long-standing presence in Zimbabwe and its impact on local and international communities, the four stamps in this issue feature Rotary symbols and themes, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to service above self.

Above cover is cancelled with a postmark at Salisbury. Salisbury was renamed Harare on 18 Apr 1982, marking the second anniversary of Zimbabwe’s independence. This change in name honoured Chief Neharawa, a Shona leader, and was part of Zimbabwe’s broader effort to remove colonial-era names. Harare is the capital and largest city of Zimbabwe.
