Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) was Singapore's first homegrown shipping line and later evolved into a global container shipping leader. It has played a vital role in positioning Singapore as a major logistics and trade centre. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of NOL in 1978, this stamp issue comprised of four multicoloured stamps, each featuring a vessel and milestone in NOL's journey from its founding in 1968 to becoming a leader in international shipping.
- 10c – Neptune Spinel, an early NOL cargo vessel, symbolising NOL's beginnings and its role in regional trade routes
- 35c – Neptune Aries, a modern container ship of the era, highlighting NOL's transition into containerisation and global shipping
- 50c – Anro Temasek, a ro-ro (roll-on/roll-off) cargo ship, representing NOL's early adoption of modern cargo handling technology during the late 1970s
- 75c – Neptune Pearl, a purpose-built containership, signaling NOL's expansion into the Asia-Europe trade and later the trans-Pacific service, positioning Singapore as a competitive maritime hub
