There are a great variety of vegetables which provide vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Many of the common vegetables found in Hong Kong are grown locally. Hongkong Post issued a set of six regular stamps and a miniature sheet in 2023 featuring locally grown fresh vegetables. The stamp in the miniature sheet depicts a basket of six types of fresh vegetables, namely beetroots, eggplants, tomatoes, carrots, lettuce and a cauliflower. Also, on the miniature sheet is a common mechanical weighing scale, portraying the lively scene of selling vegetables in the markets. While I was placing the order online, I accidentally ordered a piece each of the regular stamps instead of the cover (duh!), hence there goes a complete set of this issue in my collection.
