Highlighting an important natural heritage of Peninsular Malaysia, this stamp issue features the largest Cengal tree as recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. Located in the Pasir Raja Forest Reserve in Dungun, Terengganu, the tree is noted to reach a height of about 65 metres and a girth of approximately 16.75 metres. The featured tree in the stamps is identified as Neobalanocarpus heimii, a tropical hardwood species endemic to the region and is believed to be around 1,300 years old. The stamps, presented in a se-tenant format, showcase different artistic representations of the tree, including its foliage, trunk, roots and surrounding biodiversity.
