This stamp issue by Royal Mail was released to coincide with the Coronation of HM King Charles III, marking the beginning of a new chapter in British history. Rather than focusing solely on the Coronation ceremony, the issue looks ahead to the values and priorities that have long been associated with King Charles III. The four beautifully crafted stamps in this issue feature original wood engravings by British artist Andrew Davidson. Combining traditional engraving with contemporary storytelling, the stamps explore themes closely associated with the new reign – The Coronation, Diversity and Community, The Commonwealth, and Sustainability and Biodiversity. As both a commemorative and symbolic issue, A New Reign captures the continuity of the monarchy while reflecting the aspirations of a modern era.
