This stamp issue on Lakes in Malaysia showcases the nation's diverse freshwater ecosystems. With the aim to promote awareness of the need to conserve these valuable natural habitats, the stamps highlight three of Malaysia's most scenic and ecologically significant lakes, namely Tasik Bera in Pahang (50 sen), Tasik Dayang Bunting in Langkawi (60 sen) and Tasik Taman Negara Loagan Bunut in Sarawak (RM1.30). The stamp designs feature picturesque views of the lakes, capturing their unique landscapes and distinctive ecological character – Tasik Dayang Bunting is represented by its iconic setting and local legends, Tasik Bera by its rich wetland environment and biodiversity, and Tasik Taman Negara Loagan Bunut by its status as Sarawak's largest natural lake and its remarkable seasonal changes.
