2009 marks 200 years of postal services in Australia. A few series of stamps are issued by Australia Post to celebrate this milestone. The first series focuses on how postal services in Australia have developed over the years while the second series features five favourite Australian stamps as voted by the public. This third series focuses on the people who continue the tradition of providing outstanding services to the Australian community; they are Australia Post's staff, contractors, licensees, franchisees and agents. The ten people featured on these stamps are representative of all Australia Post employees, who, everyday, make important contributions to the wider community and the success of the business.
