Rare fruits are fruits that are difficult to find and rarely grown commercially. Originally, rare fruits are mostly found in the wild forests. Today, rare fruits are almost forgotten and efforts to raise awareness on the value and importance of these fruits is important. Pos Malaysia's effort in issuing stamps on rare fruits does serve as an effort to raise awareness on rare fruits. A continuation from the earlier stamp issues on rare fruits of Malaysia (find out more : Series II and Series III), this fourth series features another three of such rare fruits – passion fruit (60 sen), custard apple (80 sen) and nam-nam fruit (RM1.20).
