Pos Malaysia issued three beautiful and magnificent miniature sheets featuring the wonderful Malaysian forest and its inhabitants. Malaysia is a wet, tropical country that is home to some of the world's oldest rainforests and a remarkable array of wildlife species. Above miniature sheet features Maliau Basin Conservation Area, located in the Sandakan Division of Borneo Sabah.  It was designated as a conservation area by the Sabah Foundation in 1981. The Sabah State Assembly gazetted the basin as a Protection Forest Reserve (Class I) in 1997. The stamps in the miniature sheet features the Borneo Pygmy Elephant, Maliau Waterfall, Pitcher Plant, Dead Leaf Mantis and the Violin Beetle.
