Pos Silang (i.e. Postcrossing) refers to an activity which enables anyone to exchange postcards with random people around the world. Pos Malaysia released its second Pos Silang stamp series in 2019 (Series I issued on 9 Oct 2017), in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the World Post Day. The two stamps in this issue feature illustrations of postboxes at notable places of interests in Malaysia, namely Mount Kinabalu in Sabah (50 sen), which is located 4,095 metres above sea level and officially recognised as the highest postbox in Malaysia by the Malaysia Book of Records; and Tanjung Piai in Johor (80 sen) – the southernmost tip of mainland Asia.
