Malaysia is one of the most biodiverse countries in Asia with over 2000 endemic (native) species. However, most of the Malaysian wildlife is under threat. This stamp issue by Pos Malaysia features five endangered Malaysian wildlife which are fully protected by the law, with the Malayan Tiger featured in the miniature sheet. In Malaysia, the population of the Malayan Tiger has plummeted to just less than 200, and are now listed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN.
