A series of stamp issue, spanning across five years from 1991 to 1995, was released in conjunction with Singapore '95, the first time a world stamp exhibition was held in Singapore. Each issue in the series comprises a pair of Orchid stamps and a miniature sheet, with the exhibition logo being shown at the top left corner of the miniature sheet. The issue in 1993, the third in the series, is also issued to commemorate Taipei '93 Asian Stamp Exhibition held from 14 to 19 Aug 1993 in Taipei. The pair of stamps in this issue features Vanda sumatrana and Phalaenopsis amabilis, while the miniature sheet illustrates an aspect of Singapore's distinctive architectural heritage.
