This joint issue between Pos Malaysia and Pos Indonesia marks the friendship of the two cities of Melaka and Jogjakarta, by showcasing their heritage that are available at several museums of both cities. Melaka, a state located in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia and next to the Strait of Malacca, was previously occupied by the Portuguese, Dutch and then the British prior to Malaya's (then Malaysia) independence. The single stamp in this issue features Kampung Hulu Mosque, the same stamp from the earlier issue on 750 Years of Melaka, with the addition of the "Melaka & Jogja, City of Museums" logo in the stamp. The five museums featured on the Malaysia cover are TYT Museum, Hang Tuah Centre, Stamp Museum, Stadthuys Building and Samudera Museum.
