A variety of the traditional foods of the Indian community in Malaysia have influences brought from the Indian subcontinent, and these sumptuous foods are shared and enjoyed by other races and communities in Malaysia. Some of the special Indian foods featured in this stamp issue include Vadai, Muruku, Paal Kova and Payasam (60 sen); Thosai and Idhli (80 sen); as well as the iconic Banana Leaf Rice (90 sen).
