Malaysia has a distinct multi-ethnic composition with a variety of groups professing different religious and cultural beliefs. Celebrating this diversity, Pos Malaysia issued a series of stamps featuring festival foods of the various races and ethnics in Malaysia. This stamp issue is the second instalment in this series, this time featuring unique dishes and popular sweet treats and drinks made by the people of Kadazandusun and Dayak that are hard to find in shops, and are served during the Kaamatan Festival in Sabah and Gawai Festival in Sarawak. The stamps feature :

*  Tuak / Lihing – Rice wine (Sarawak) and tapioca wine (Sabah)
*  Kek Lapis – Layer cake
*  Tapai Pulut – Fermented glutinous rice wrapped in banana leaves
*  Kuih Jala – Lace pancake

80 sen
*  Ambuyat / Linut – Sago-based porridge (Sabah and Sarawak respectively)

90 sen
*  Manuk Pansuh – Chicken-based dish cooked in bamboo stalk and stuffed with spices
*  Hinava / Umai – Raw fish salad (Sabah and Sarawak respectively)
