This used to be the oldest cover, in terms of date of issue, in my collection; in fact older than me! It has been a practice, or rather habit, of mine to try to get at least one first day cover as souvenir for myself whenever I visit a country. Besides that, some of these are gifts or souvenirs from friends who know I appreciate philatelic items, while some are just covers that caught my attention whenever I stumbled upon them, and yes, I just buy them.
