The one that started it all, and the rest was history. I vividly remember that this first day cover from the Year of the Rabbit 1999 issue, released on 14 Jan 1999, is the first cover I bought, that eventually started my interest on collecting first day cover. Australian stamps are indeed very beautiful, which have captured my interest and hence the passion to start this hobby. I stopped collecting Australia covers after 2010 – the impact of forex was really burning a hole in my pocket. Any cover from 2009 onwards is either souvenir I bought myself when travelling to Australia, or souvenir from others.
